Step back in time and honour the heroes of the Great War with our immersive three-day Battlefield Tour through some of the most iconic and poignant sites of World War I.
This unforgettable journey takes you through the hallowed grounds of The Somme, Vimy Ridge, and Ypres, where history was written in courage, sacrifice, and resilience. During the tour, you'll walk through the trenches at Beaumont-Hamel, visit the Thiepval Memorial and spend the day in Ypres.
The city endured four years of relentless shelling and destruction. The area around Ypres was the site of multiple major battles, including Passchendaele. You'll visit Tyne Cot Cemetery, the largest Commonwealth war cemetery in the world, and the Zonnebeke Dug out Museum. Attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate - a moving daily tribute to the fallen.
You'll also travel to Vimy Ridge, visiting the memorial, dedicated to over 11,000 Canadian soldiers with no known grave.
Joining you for the duration of the tour are Sir Anthony Seldon and battlefield guide Clive Harris. You'll also be joined by Murray Lindo, Head of the Wellington Community.
Our guides know the ground intimately and encourage personal visits to Cemeteries to pay respects to fallen relatives and these can usually be accomplished if within striking distance of our planned routing. Please advise us prior to travel.
