Make memories this May Bank Holiday and immerse yourself in the French way of life on this five-day sailing. Embark Borealis in Southampton and discover the beautiful towns of Honfleur and Pauillac - the gateway to the city of Bordeaux.
On board, you can look forward to full board dining, as well as selected drinks at meal times; a wide range of leisure and fitness facilities; and entertainment, activities and talks. Plus, with £50 on board credit per cabin included, be sure to treat yourself to make your cruise experience that bit extra special.
Your first port of call will be Honfleur, known for its beautiful harbour, surrounded by colourful buildings. The harbour has been a subject for many painters over the years, including Claude Monet - and has plenty of art culture.
You'll then spend a day at sea and cruising the Gironde River as you make your way to Pauillac. Scenic cruising offers the chance to admire the picturesque landscapes dotted with vineyards and nature reserves, and you may even spot some wildlife as you sail.
Pauillac is well regarded as a key wine-producing area of France and it's from here you could choose to explore Bordeaux - the historic city famed for its wine. Situated on the Garonne River, Bordeaux has elegant architecture, picturesque harbours and winding streets leading to bustling squares. Pauillac itself is full of character with cute cafes and chateaux.
As you make your way back to Southampton, take advantage of Borealis' facilities and public spaces - as life on board offers plenty to do.

Embark Borealis and depart Southampton for your five-night Bank Holiday cruise.
Originally occupied in the 9th century by the Vikings, the charming town of Honfleur has attracted artists for many years, with masterpieces housed in its museums and art galleries. Under the guidance of Eugène Boudin, a young Claude Monet and his friend Alfred Sisley began studying light effects and painting landscapes outdoors, rather than from memory, trailblazing for artists of the future.
Some of the best moments of cruising are the days spent at sea where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful programme of events and activities on board your ship.
This evening, cruise the Gironde River, West Europe's largest estuary. The area surrounding the Gironde River is renowned for its wine-producing, where many prestigious Bordeaux vineyards and chateau are located.
Later this evening, arrive in Pauillac - well regarded as a key wine-producing area of France. Discover delicious regional dishes such as Canelé, a delicious cake with a custard filling, enrobed in a caramelised exterior; or meat dishes accompanied by bordelaise sauce, paired perfectly with a Médoc wine.
