Skt. Petri, Copenhagen, Denmark
Converted from a 1920s department store in the city centre, Skt Petri combines strikingly-designed public spaces, glamorous rooms, a cool garden courtyard and a handy location - it's close to plenty of shops, attractions, restaurants and bars.
Rooms available from £126.51 per night
Skt Petri is just a few minutes' walk from the transport hub of Nørreport (it's an easy trip on the Metro from the airport). You've got the Latin Quarter on one side and the city centre's main pedestrianised shopping streets on the other. Close by are the Round Tower (a 17th-century observatory with a view), Copenhagen Cathedral and Gråbrødretorv, a cobbled square lined with cafés.
Five minutes' walk away is Torvehallerne, an indoor-outdoor food market, mixing fresh produce counters with eat-in food stalls.
By plane: direct flights to Copenhagen from London, Manchester and Edinburgh (1 hour 45 minutes). It's a 25-minute drive to the hotel. Parking costs DKK 500 per day. Book flights to Copenhagen.
CHARACTER & STYLE
Skt Petri's differs from most Copenhagen hotels with its bold approach to décor. The huge lobby is cleverly designed to create different zones, and the floor is strikingly patterned, dark and light marble. Shades of green are everywhere, from emerald upholstery to potted plants.
There's a fitness room and a relaxation area, with sauna and steam room, and you can book a massage or physiotherapy session. Services include airport transfers, valet parking, a same-day laundry service and concierge desk, which can help with reservations and sells Copenhagen Cards.
