CHARACTER & STYLE

The hotel has an industrial feel, with raw plaster and concrete walls contrasting with pops of Hermès orange. There's a minimalist look, especially in the ground-floor café, which has leather seats, vases of dried flowers and cinematic prints.

THE FACILITIES

Of course the main draw is the cinema - you can choose to watch open-air screenings on the rooftop or borrow one of over 2,000 DVDs from the library. There's the main cinema screen plus a private screening room for hire, with its own bar.

Rooms

Rooms vary in size, but all have large screens to watch movies. Adjacent bathrooms are separated by transparent walls. We loved the film-themed touches like the Do Not Disturb signs, printed with lines from different movies, and the fact you dial 007 to contact reception.

Room types: Paradiso, Superior, Grande, Junior Suite, Suite Cinema, Grande Suite Cinema, Le Loft

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, in-room tablet, TV, free Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

The lobby café serves breakfast, followed by light and gourmet snacks throughout the day. We loved the freshly baked (and still warm) flaky French croissants. You can order room service, including platters with bread and country-style pâté or charcuterie.

Café: informal dining, French cuisine. Open daily, 10am-11pm.

Rooftop: bar and terrace, cocktails and gourmet snacks. Open daily (hours vary). Summer open-air cinema: every Sun from 9:30pm.
