With staggering views across the Atlantic Ocean from its clifftop position on the Pentire headland, the lodge offers easy access to the South West Coastal Path, where you can walk directly into the centre of Newquay.

Just a stone's throw from the iconic surfing beach of Fistral.

By car: over 5 hours from London, under 3 hours from Bristol, and 5 hours 30 minutes from Manchetser. Free parking available.

By train: London Paddington to Newquay takes around 5 hours. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the station. Book trains to Newquay.

Breakfast doesn't get much better than the continental plate, a showcase of local produce - Cornish Kern cheese, fresh fruit, yoghurt pot, toasted brioche and honeycomb butter.
