The pub is on a quiet lane, and you've got a choice of walks on your doorstep. Nearby attractions include the wonderful gardens at Hidcote and Kiftsgate Court.

Located in the little village Armscote, a few miles north of Shipston-on-Stour and eight miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon.

By car: around 2 hours from London, and 1 hour from Oxford and 1 hour 30 minutes from Bristol. Free on-site parking available.

By train: London Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh takes 1 hour 30 minutes, after which, a taxi takes 15 minutes. Book trains to Moreton-in-Marsh

CHARACTER & STYLE

The inn oozes comfort with a dash of luxury and style - furnishings are in muted tones of silver, grey and blue. At the front of the pub, there's a more formal dining room, while the converted garage around the back offers a laidback atmosphere.

There are five beautiful cosy bedrooms - all are individually-decorated and named after a breed of duck or hen. There are Nespresso machines in all rooms, most have impressive power showers and all are, of course, stocked with Baylis & Harding products.

The Fuzzy Duck prides itself on its cuisine, sourcing local ingredients where possible. It's Modern British fare - dishes include confit duck leg with fondant potato and wild mushroom, spinach and black truffle risotto. Unashamedly indulgent desserts include apple, honey and oat crumble with stem ginger crème anglaise.
