CHARACTER & STYLE

Expect bright, clashing prints and colours - this hotel has a definite Wes Anderson vibe. Ornate, antique-style lamps are juxtaposed with patterned furniture and hand-drawn framed prints. The overall feel is that of an elegant Parisian townhouse owned by a rather eccentric collector.

THE FACILITIES

Staff are friendly and keen to offer tips and advice. There aren't too many facilities, but the small gym has a treadmill, rowing machine and weights, as well as a sauna.

Rooms

Like the rest of the hotel, rooms are designed in clashing colours - think forest green with dusky pink, teal with red, or yellow with blue. Some bathrooms have a bathtub as well as a walk-in shower.

Room types: Single, Standard, Superior, Family, Yellow Suite, Red Suite

Key amenities: ensuite bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi

Food & Drink

Breakfast is served at the hotel, with a café-style counter serving pastries and coffee. Head across the road to sister café, Café Les Deux Gares, a stylish French bistro with a daily changing menu - you can have anything from a quick café au lait to a three-course dinner in the evening.

Café Les Deux Gares: bar and bistro, French cuisine. Open Tue-Sat, 9am-midnight.
