You're in a ten-storey block beside Bikini Berlin shopping mall, Berlin Zoo and Aquarium, with Tiergarten park beyond.
Nearby is Kaiser-Wihelm-Gedächtniskirche, a restored church which was ruined during the Second World War.
By plane: direct flights to Berlin Brandenburg from London (1 hour 40 minutes), Manchester (1 hour 55 minutes) and Edinburgh (2 hours 5 minutes). It's a 30-minute drive to the hotel. Parking costs €16 per day. Book flights to Berlin.
CHARACTER & STYLE
The style is quirky, from the battered grey Morris Traveller parked in the entrance hall to the immersive lifts that screen video. Room numbers are in green neon and corridors are warren-like.
