THE LOCATION

The hotel's elevated position atop a cliff provides panoramic sea views and there are several coastal walks too.

The hotel sits above Mawgan Porth beach, a quieter alternative to Newquay. It's a sandy beach with rockpools and caves, and there's a surf school.

By car: 1 hour 30 minutes from Exeter, under 3 hours from Bristol and 5 hours from London. Free on-site parking available.

By train: London Paddington to Newquay takes around 5 hours, after which, a taxi will take 10 minutes to the hotel. Book trains to Newquay.

CHARACTER & STYLE

The hotel has a retro-inspired, scandi-chic vibe. The owners have embraced its history without completely overhauling the building. There's a lot of local arts and crafts, which can also be puchased in the shop.

THE FACILITIES

There are plenty of facilities. If you're travelling with children, there's an indoor soft play area, craft room and three pools (one indoor). If you'd rather escape the children for a while, the Ogo restaurant is off-limits to under 5s and there's a spa and sensory garden.
