THE LOCATION

This hotel is conveniently situated on much-loved Chapel Street, making it an ideal starting point to explore the western Cornish coastline. Take a stroll along the South West Coast Path's most westerly stretch to witness landscapes reminiscent of the popular television series, Poldark. Alternatively, venture out for a 20-minute drive to visit some of Cornwall's most breathtaking beaches, such as Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, Pedn Olva and Sennen Cove.

It's a five-minute walk to the seafront with its art deco, geothermal heated Jubilee Pool.

By car: Penzance is approx 300 miles from London - a 6-7 hour drive. There is no on-site parking.

By train: The hotel is around ten minutes' walk from Penzance train station. The London - Penzance sleeper train takes 7.5 hours, or 5.5 hours during the day. Book trains to Penzance.

CHARACTER & STYLE

The interior décor combines vintage-rustic furnishings and contemporary, colourful artworks with the Georgian coach house's impressive original features. Walls are decorated with a diverse collection of limited edition prints and original murals by emerging artists and British galleries - making for great conversation pieces.

A light-filled café and bar serves a wholesome menu of Cornish produce alongside inventive cocktails, whilst outside, you'll find a terrace garden with a retractable awning and a Shack bar serving frozen margaritas and lobster rolls during the summer months. The bar serves a selection of unique cocktails and guests can expect simple, wholesome and fuss-free plates showcasing the freshest Cornish produce. On Sundays, the beef brisket roast is a must and the hake fillet with roast pepper, tomato and butterbean stew was a winning combo, followed by dark chocolate, hazelnut and honeycomb torte - delicious.
