THE LOCATION

The Alverton is an ideal base to explore Cornwall. It's a ten-minute walk into the town centre, where you'll find independent shops, galleries and restaurants.

The Roseland Peninsula, Falmouth, Charlestown and The Lizard are all easily accessible from the hotel.

By car: around 1 hour 30 minutes from Exeter, 5 hours from Birmingham and 6 hours from London. Free on-site parking available.

By train: London to Truro takes 4 hours 30 minutes, after which, a taxi takes 10 minutes to the hotel. Book trains to Truro.

CHARACTER & STYLE

Formerly a convent, the hotel was converted in 1984. Despites its renovations, many heritage features remain, including the bell tower, slate roof, arched mullioned windows and ivy-clad walls - which all give character.
