Madeira Flower Festival with Adam Frost
Have you ever been on a tour with an expert before?

A couple of years ago, I went on the Dutch bulbfields River Cruise with a friend - the bulbfields and a river cruise were both on my 'bucket list'. Whilst I am not a gardener my friend is and she looked forward to Adam Frost's input. I went to his talk and found it exceeded my 'non gardening' expectations and was entertaining.

When I saw the Madeira trip that included the Flower Festival (another tick off my 'bucket list' ) I was pleased to see Adam Frost's involvement and was happy to travel solo this time.

What difference did it make having Adam Frost on the tour with you?

As I mentioned, I am not a gardener by any means, but Adam really added to the trip with his professional knowledge and approachable manner. I found his insights interesting and it was lovely to see him eagerly sharing his expertise with my gardening travelling companions.

How did you find the experience of travelling with others as part of a group?

I enjoyed travelling with others, as a solo traveller. It was sociable on the tours and at other times, I had the option to interact with others as I wished, or enjoy quiet time in the hotel's excellent facilities.

What were the top 3 highlights from your experience?

Of course, the Flower Festival. I also enjoyed the Levada walk. As a whole, the tours were well organised and interesting.

What would you say to someone thinking of booking a similar trip?

Absolutely do it! I am always recommending Tripsmiths and solo travel.
