Join us for an exclusive four-day holiday to travel over land, sea and loch, with multiple journeys powered by steam
Scottish broadcaster and journalist Kirsty Wark is now joining
this exclusive trip - get the chance to hear a special talk from
Kirsty and ask your questions in a Q&A session.
Join us on a wonderfully nostalgic exploration of the wooded
hills, glens and crystal-clear lochs of the Trossachs.
Travelling on the famous Jacobite steam train and the world's
last ocean-going paddle steamer, PS Waverley, you'll take in the
impressive sight of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, enjoy a
unique experience on the world's first rotating boat lift, and pass
over the spectacular 21-arch Glenfinnan viaduct, as seen in the
Harry Potter films.
You'll also take a voyage on tranquil Loch Katrine. The scenery
around the loch is breathtaking - at its northern end is Glengyle,
the birthplace of Scottish outlaw and folk hero Rob Roy.
You'll be staying at the Buchanan Arms, Drymen which has
comfortable, elegant bedrooms, some with views of the scenic
Scottish countryside. There's plenty of opportunity to tuck into
some fine Scottish grub between excursions too, like local seafood
or fabulously fresh fish and chips.
"The train was comfortable and very nostalgic. We all enjoyed
the ride. Chugging around the actual bend to see the viaduct was a
very exciting moment."
