Join us on an unforgettable journey aboard the British Pullman, a Belmond Train, departing from London Victoria and travelling through the pretty English countryside to Highclere Castle, the iconic filming location for Downton Abbey.
Relax in a vintage train carriage along the way, adorned with authentic art deco fixtures. Settle into your plush armchair seat and sip on a sparkling Bellini before enjoying a three-course brunch with silver service as dreamy rural landscapes roll by.
Upon arrival at Highclere Castle, enjoy a glass of champagne while listening to an exclusive talk by Lady Carnarvon, who currently lives at Highclere. She'll provide a fascinating glimpse into life in one of England's most recognisable castles and the work it takes to maintain the building.
You'll also enjoy a private guided tour of the castle, led by a knowledgeable guide who will share insights into the building, artwork, and furniture in the ornate State Rooms and Castle Bedrooms.
After the tour, take some free time to stroll through the enchanting gardens and explore the Egyptian Exhibition, which details the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and Howard Carter.
It's then time to return to the British Pullman, where you'll be welcomed back on board with a glass of champagne. Sink back into your armchair and reflect on your day while indulging in a delightful three-course dinner, with wines chosen by the onboard sommelier.
You'll arrive back at Victoria Station just before 8pm, bringing a memorable day to a close.
Lady Carnarvon lives at Highclere Castle with her husband Geordie, the Earl of Carnarvon. Her latest book, The Earl and the Pharaoh, tells the story of the 5th Earl and his part in the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt.

You'll board the British Pullman at Victoria Station this morning, departing for Highclere at 09.23am. Relax in the Art-Deco carriages and the comfort of your plush seat, and take in the scenery as you sip a Bellini and enjoy a delicious three-course brunch.
You'll arrive at Newbury Racecourse in the early afternoon, where you'll be transferred to Highclere Castle by coach.
Enjoy a fascinating talk from Lady Carnarvon in the Marquee as you enjoy a welcome glass of Champagne, before touring the castle and taking some time to wander the manicured gardens and explore the Egyptian exhibition.
Later in the afternoon, you'll return to the British Pullman, where a carefully curated three-course dinner with wine is awaiting you for your journey home.
