A great central location, you're close to many of the city's sights and attractions including St Giles Cathedral, Greyfriars Kirk and Edinburgh Castle. Walk down the Mound to reach the New Town.

You're in the heart of the Old Town on Victoria Street; Waverley Station is within walking distance.

By car: over an hour from Glasgow, 2 hours 40 minutes from Newcastle and 4 hours 45 minutes from Manchester. Paid parking available nearby

By train: Glasgow Queens Street to Edinburgh Waverley takes around 50 minutes, it's 3 hours from Manchester Piccadilly and 4 hours 45 minutes from London Kings Cross - after which, it's an 8-minute walk to the hotel. Book trains to Edinburgh.

This historic building has a beautiful restored glass dome and Victorian pine panelling in the Commons Club. As soon as it's 5pm, the lights go down and the music pumps up.
