This hotel is perfectly-placed if you want to make the most of the Vesterbro nightlife. It's right next to Kødbyen, the Meatpacking District, where most of the old butchers' units have been converted into bars, restaurants and galleries. Try Kødbyens Fiskebar for great seafood, Mother for excellen sourdough pizza, and Hija de Sanchez for tacos.
The main train station and Tivoli are within walking distance.
By plane: direct flights to Copenhagen from London, Manchester and Edinburgh (1 hour 45 minutes). It's a 20-minute drive to the hotel. Parking costs DKK 220 per day. Book flights to Copenhagen.
CHARACTER & STYLE
Communal areas merge industrial styling with residential scandi-chic: think polished concrete floors, unique lighting and modular seating. Things get quirkier in the bar and restaurant, where the design incorporates butchery motifs (inspired by the neighbourhood's meatpacking heritage) with salami-effect countertops and carpets resembling marbled meats.
THE FACILITIES
Check-in staff are personable, efficient and nicely jokey. There's a fitness room, a ping pong table and hotel bikes for hire (if you're quick off the mark, the first two are free). The hotel's app gets you access to over 5,000 digital newspapers and magazines.
