MORE INFORMATION

THE LOCATION

The historic Alfama district is a maze of streets, and the hotel benefits from its hard-to-find location - you won't get passers-by dropping in. The views over the neighbouring rooftops and down to the Tagus River are mesmerising. Very close is the city's Romanesque cathedral, a little further are the shops of downtown Baixa.

The hotel is in the central Alfama district, with a tram stop (no. 28) a few minutes' walk away.

By plane: flights to Lisbon take around 2 hours 50 mins from London and Manchester and 2 hours 30 mins from Bristol. The hotel is a 25-minute taxi ride from the airport. Public parking available. Book flights to Lisbon

CHARACTER & STYLE

From the outside, this establishment looks fairly modest but once you step inside, it opens up into unexpectedly large and airy interiors. Original features like vaulted ceilings and brick walls merge with bleached-wood floors, interiors in shades of coffee and white and large plate-glass windows. Designer lights and modern artwork provide the decoration.
