THE LOCATION

Casa Fantini is in Pella, on the western shores of Lake Orta. Away from the tourist crowds, you're spoilt with lake views.

It's a five-minute boat trip to Orta San Giulio, the lake's principle village.

By plane: London to Milan Malpensa takes under 2 hours and Manchester to Milan Malpensa takes 2 hours 15 minutes, after which, it's an hour's drive to the hotel. Free private parking available. Book flights to Milan.

CHARACTER & STYLE

Designed by renowned architect and designer Piero Lissoni, plush sofas, designer chairs and mismatched mirrors add a fashionable touch. This is a stylish hotel, where wood, stone, metal and glass dominate. The long communal table encourages guests to mingle in the large living area.

THE FACILITIES

Service is discreet; staff are welcoming and happy to arrange activities and guided tours in the local area. The hotel has its own boats, with free trips to the lake island. There's also a swimming pool in the gardens.

FOOD & DRINK
