The hotel is located on a clifftop position in Carbis Bay - which has a blue flag beach - overlooking St Ives Bay. In St Ives, you'll find a hub of artist studios, boutiques and eateries.

Boskerris makes a good base for exploring the furthest reaches of West Cornwall, as well as St Ives itself.

By car: over 5 hours from London, 4 hours 15 minutes from Swansea and 5 hours 15 minutes from Nottingham. Free on-site parking available.

By train: London to St Erth takes around 5 hours, after which, it's a 10-minute taxi to the hotel. Book trains to St Erth.

The hotel is housed in a building that dates back to the 1930s, and has been cleverly renovated. Think pared-back modern luxury with Mediterranean vibes, with white-washed shutters and floorboards complemented by muted blues. The floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the views.

The restaurant: informal dining, Modern British cuisine. Dishes include pan-fried hake, fillet of beef and chicken supreme. Open daily for breakfast and dinner.
