Meet the team: Petra

Petra works in the product team and says working in travel turned her addiction to exploring new places into a legitimate job. She's happiest wandering unfamiliar streets, chatting with locals, and tasting whatever delicious food she can find. When Petra's not eating, she's cooking or planning where to eat next. She balances this with a "healthy lifestyle" of yoga and pretending she doesn't want dessert. Originally from Czechia, Petra's spent more than 20 years in London, so it's become her second home. She's married to a very patient partner,a proud mum to an amazing daughter and a dog mum to Skye - the real boss of the house.

Which destination is on your bucket list?

Japan, Jordan and Georgia.

Where is your favourite destination?

I don't have one, I love them all.

Which TS tour would you recommend?

Any of the foodie tours - Culinary tour of Puglia, Flavours of Modena & Bologna, or A taste of Slovenia.

What has been your favourite bucket list experience?

Travelling around South America for three months. I visited Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.

What's your most memorable travel experience?

Every travel experience brings me back lots of memories but few of the most memorable would be:

• After four days on the Inca trail, waiting at 5am for the clouds to drift away and reveal the first sights of Machu Picchu, Peru
• Being invited to a Moroccan wedding by locals while traveling around Morocco
• Helicopter ride over Iguazu Falls
• Rio Carnival
• Watching sunset at Taj Mahal
• Hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia, Turkey
• Cooking class in Vietnam
• White water rafting with my family on river Soca, Slovenia
• Having a picnic in front of Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Which TS tour would you most like to go on?

Island hopping in the Hebrides with Monty Halls or Antarctica expedition cruise.

Summer sun or winter sun?

Winter sun.

City break or beach holiday?

The best is the combination of both.

By plane, rail or ship?

Plane.

Long haul or short haul?

Both but if I need to choose it would be long haul.

Off the beaten track.
